SO...THAT - SUCH...THAT
I. KHÁI NIỆM
Cấu trúc so...that/ such...that mang nghĩa là "quá...đến nỗi mà...".
Thường dùng để cảm thán, bộc lộ cảm xúc với một đối tượng, sự vật hoặc sự việc.
II. CẤU TRÚC

* LƯU Ý
- Không dùng a/an khi Noun số nhiều hoặc Noun không đếm được (advice, news, work, furniture...)
- So many/ so much = such a lot of
- So far = such a long way
- So long = such a long time
- Such + (a/an) + adj + N = So + adj + (a/an) + N (E.g: Such a beautiful girl = So beautiful a girl)
III. MỘT SỐ VÍ DỤ
1. CHUYỂN CÁC CÂU SAU THÀNH SO...THAT/ SUCH...THAT
- He worked so hard. He didn't eat anything yesterday.
=> He worked so hard that he didn't eat anything yesterday.
- The dress is very expensive. I can't buy it.
=> The dress is so expensive that I can't buy it./ It is such an expensive dress that I can't buy it.
- The food is very hot. We can't eat it.
=> The food is so hot that we can't eat it.
- Mary has a very beautiful voice. We all like to hear her sing.
=> Mary has such a beautiful voice that we all like to hear her sing.
2. THAY SO BẰNG SUCH VÀ NGƯỢC LẠI
- They have such a nice garden.
=> They have so nice a garden./ Their garden is so nice.
- This exercise is so easy.
=> This is such an easy exercise.
- Mariya Takeuchi's songs are so catchy that I can't stop replaying them.
=> Mariya Takeuchi has such catchy songs that I can't stop replaying them.
